During demolition work at a nearby tenement block, the builders make a shocking discovery. The news ripples through the community, and the police are called in. Follows a game warden and his family during a changing political and socioeconomic climate in a small rural town.
A renowned MMA fighter juggles her life between fights in the ring and raising her seven-year-old son. After an incident at the boy's school, the woman is forced to transfer him to the "Wonderful Harbor" a facility recommended by the school psychologist. The young mother is unaware that the parents of the school's students come from a completely different world than her own. Among them is a single father, an influencer, and a devoted mother who has sacrificed everything for her son. Initially, the woman is skeptical about the school, but after her son befriends one of the students, the young mother must accept the new situation. However, it becomes apparent that "Wonderful Harbor" is not without its challenges, prompting the fierce instincts of the young mother to surface.

Series 12 and 13, commissioned by Piers Wenger, Director of BBC Drama and Charlotte Moore, Chief Content Officer, will consist of two 8x60’ series and two Christmas specials.
